Terms of use

Last updated: October 25, 2026.

These terms apply to your use of threatroundup.com (“ThreatRoundup”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

Information, not advice

ThreatRoundup publishes cyber security news, analysis, vulnerability information and detection guidance for general information. It is not professional security, legal or financial advice for your situation. Before acting on anything you read here, check it against the vendor’s advisory and your own environment, and get qualified help where the stakes are high.

Accuracy

We work hard to get things right and we correct errors promptly (see our editorial standards), but security news moves fast and early reports are often incomplete. The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and we don’t guarantee that any content is complete, current or error-free. Vulnerability pages are built automatically from public sources such as the U.S. National Vulnerability Database, CISA and FIRST and may lag behind or differ from those sources; the official record always wins.

Hunt Leads, detections and indicators

Detection logic, queries, rules and indicators of compromise are offered as starting points for defenders. Test them in your own environment before relying on them or deploying them to production; they can miss activity or raise false positives. Indicators are de-fanged on purpose. Use this material only to defend systems you own or are authorized to protect.

Links to other sites

Our stories link to original reporting, vendor advisories, government sites and research. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. We never knowingly link to leaked data, stolen-data dumps or exploit code.

Ads and affiliate links

The site shows ads served by Google AdSense and may contain affiliate links; see our privacy policy and affiliate disclosure. Ads are chosen by the ad network, not by us, and showing an ad is not an endorsement. Advertisers and affiliate partners have no say in what we cover.

Our content

Articles, Hunt Leads, graphics and the site design are owned by ThreatRoundup unless stated otherwise. You’re welcome to quote short passages with credit and a link to the original story. Please don’t republish whole articles or reports, or copy the site’s content in bulk, without our written permission. Product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify them.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the site in a way that breaks the law, harms other people, or disrupts the site. That includes automated scraping or crawling that puts a heavy load on our servers, testing the security of the site without permission, and using our content to plan or carry out attacks. If you’ve found a security issue on ThreatRoundup itself, please tell us at tips@threatroundup.com.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, ThreatRoundup is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, including indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States.
