Privacy policy

ThreatRoundup is a news site. You can read everything without an account, and we collect as little about you as we can.

What we collect

Server and security logs. Like every website, our host and its security network (Cloudflare) process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. These logs are kept for a limited time by those providers.

Your light or dark setting. If you use the lightbulb button, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage). It never leaves your device.

Email you send us. If you email tips@threatroundup.com, we keep your message to reply and follow up on the tip. We don’t share it, and we never name a source without permission.

Newsletter. When the weekly newsletter launches, signing up will share your email address with our newsletter provider, only to send you the newsletter. You will be able to unsubscribe at any time from any email.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell or rent personal information, we don’t run comments or user accounts for readers, and we don’t use advertising trackers.

Links to other sites

Our stories link to the original reporting and to vendor and government sites. Some product links are affiliate links (see the affiliate disclosure); the retailer may set its own cookies when you visit. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
